Which genres actually suit a five-minute break

Which genres actually suit a five-minute break

Mobile isn't like console or PC. Most of us play in scraps of time — a queue, a wait, a few minutes before a meeting. So the genre that works best is often the one that respects those gaps.

Arcade games are the obvious winners. Short rounds, instant restarts, no story to lose track of. Something like a reflex spinner fits a single train stop perfectly and never guilts you for stopping.

Strategy and RPGs are trickier. They're deeply satisfying but they want your attention, and dipping in for ninety seconds can feel like interrupting a conversation. The ones that work best have good offline planning or a quick-save that drops you exactly where you left off.

My honest advice: keep two games installed. One quick arcade or puzzle for scraps of time, one slower adventure or RPG for the evenings. Trying to make one game do both jobs usually ends in a half-finished story and a phone full of frustration.
