Playing with one hand without hating it
Half the time I'm playing, my other hand is holding a coffee, a rail, or nothing useful at all. One-handed play is the real mobile default, and surprisingly few games design for it.
The best candidates are adventure and casual titles that use tap-to-move or simple swipes. These keep all the input in the reachable zone and don't punish you for a slightly imprecise tap.
When a game does need more, check whether it offers a left or right hand layout and a reachability option that pulls controls toward one corner. These settings are becoming more common, and they make a genuine difference on big screens.
If a game forces both thumbs with buttons jammed into opposite corners, it's just not a one-handed game, and no amount of wishing will change that. Save those for when you can sit down and hold the phone properly.
