Managing storage when every game wants gigabytes
There's a quiet war happening on our phones, and it's about storage. RPGs and racers especially now ship multi-gigabyte downloads, with extra asset packs on top after launch.
The first habit worth building is checking install size before you commit. A lovely adventure game isn't worth deleting your photo backup for, and the store usually lists the download size if you scroll.
Many games now offer optional high-res asset packs. If you're on a smaller phone, you can often skip these entirely and barely notice, which frees up a huge chunk of space.
And be ruthless about uninstalling. If you haven't opened a game in a month, let it go — most save progress to an account these days, so you can reinstall later without losing anything. Your storage, battery and sanity will thank you.
